Notice and Note- On pages 117 and 109 in the Boy in the Striped Pajamas, I found an again and again moment. What I see happening a lot is a character's mouth going in an O shape whenever something surprising happened. Why does this keep happening? I think that this moment keeps repeating because it shows that there are many surprising things in this book now, and to come. Classmates- If you have any again and again moments that you found in your book, or if you have a quote you have to share, put it in the comments, I would love to hear about some of the other books! Today for book clubs, I read pages 75-100 of The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. This is an idea of what my paper looked like
THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS! Memory Moment on page- 87-93 This is when the author pauses the real story to tell the reader about Bruno's very missed Grandma. This memory moment made me think, "Why is this moment important?" I thought that that moment could be important because it showed some family problems and it showed how much Bruno missed his Grandma in his family. I also think it is to help us understand that his life wasn't always perfect before moving to Out-With. Quote to Share He was not allowed to walk...with no exceptions. I think that this quote is important to the book, because Bruno is heading to a concentration camp, that has to lead to him getting in trouble, or maybe even meeting someone. Key Events 1. Bruno goes with Pavel to find a spare tire 2. Bruno's accident happens 3. Pavel helps out Bruno, they have a conversation 4. Memory moment about Grandma 5. Everyday life moves on, it is boring for Bruno 6. Bruno and Gretel get a tutor 7. Bruno heads for a fence BUH...BUH...BUUUUUUUUUUH!!!!! This must be really interesting if you have already read this book, you will know if my predictions are right or wrong. What are you guys doing for your book projects, and what book are you doing it on. BTW, I have 2 new pages. You guys can also access these pages by going to more at the top of the page, and you'll see ChatterBox and Check Out.
At Busch Gardens Williamsburg I rode the most Thrilling rides there in a program called 5 times the fury. Some of the rides I went on were the the Griffon and Alpengiest, and is super fun! Post in the comments what type of roller coasters you like, if you even like them. A poll about this will be updated later. Or now. :) So, I know that this is really random, but I felt like ice cream in the morning, so I had ice cream for breakfast, in my dreams. Have you ever had this problem?
I am riding in this crazy school bus. The owner of the bus was selling rides this weekend and donating the proceeds to the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes was started by President Franklin Roosevelt, who was paralyzed because of polio and was in a wheelchair. Tell me if you've done anything like this in the comments.
